It's the last day of 2011! I would like to dedicate this post to all those who's been part of my wonderful 2011: DA, Respect '08, EHSians, Thomasians, Trinitians, 4MC01, Babes, GRK and my family. The year 2011 was a roller coaster ride for me, the ups which made me realize how blessed I am and the downs which made me learn from my stupid mistakes. As early as now, I know that 2012 would be a better year for all of us. And while listening to this song, let's all party like it's the end of the world!

If you didn't already know, I'm an insomniac. As in literally, f*cked up body clock. So, whenever I need to leave in the morning (eg Morning Classes), it has always beena struggle. There are times when I don't sleep at all so that I wouldn't miss my morning classes. So imagine my luck today as I cover a wedding with only an hour or two of sleep. I mean, I could handle it if I was going to class but this is different because I couldn't steal some sleep there and I'll be working the whole time. So imagine how tired I was after the end of the day. But still I wasn't able to sleep immediately. Sometimes, I feel like my body will just collapse and give up on me any time. I guess it's time to consider taking sleeping pills.

So it just saddens me how people just decide to take their life when some fights hard just to keep theirs. The death of the local young actor just proves how pitiful some people are no matter what their status in life is. Every person needs someone to save them even from themselves when they feel like giving up. This song is for those people who is in the midst of giving up.

Circle of Life, Day #10, 28 December 2011

Who 90's kid doesn't know The Lion King? No one, right? Lion King was not only loved for the characters nor the script but the songs and the message of the movie. I was at my sister's today and told the kids that I wanna watch The Lion King in 3d! It's always good to share something you grew up with to the kids today. Anyways, the song Circle of Life stuck in my head and I had the chance to savor every line in the song. It all makes sense. We run in circles. And you'll realized that we do live in a small world, after all.

Today, I did a growing up AVP of a couple about to get married in a few days. It just made me think of how a life of a person could change in just a span of few years. I always get teary eyed when I see a couple really inlove with each other. And with this ever changing world, sadly, only a few marriages succeed for a long time. I mean, Kim Kardashian isn't the only one with a short term marriage right? And it all happens in this crazy crazy life.

This song has gotta be, by far, my most favorite Lady Gaga song. You remember the times when you wished you look different? Well, this song teaches us that it's okay to be different. You just have to accept that you are born that way and it's not something you should be ashamed of. Sa Araw ng Pasko, Day #7, 25 December 2011

Couldn't the song be anymore timely? It's the most beautiful time of the year! I particularly chose this song because when my friends and I were at the Mental Hospital for our thesis, they kept on playing this song for their activity. They also did cards for their family and most of it states that they want to be home for Christmas. I sympathize with them because I could only imagine how hard it is to be so close yet so far with your family and the most difficult thing about that is they couldn't do anything about it. So, for Christmas, this song is for them. I hope that they'll have a wonderful Christmas even if they're locked up in their dens. And this also goes to those who wishes to be with their family this Christmas. Happy Christmas, everyone!
